What happens when stressed-out vets return from the war theatre and try to resume their lives with business-as-usual? Many, if not most, find that to be impossible, because they are not the same as they were prior to deployment. In fact, many contend with sleepless nights, inability to focus, depression and Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome. Veteran's PTSD is a multidimensional issue involving disabilities, traumatic brain injury, psychophysical regulation, stress-management, depression, grief, dissociation, and perhaps ADHD, T-type behavior, chronic pain management, alcohol and drug use, and compulsive disorders. Soldiers in the 101st Airborne claim most use alchol and drugs in excess, including Valium and marijuana. That is the short list, as each unique individual will have particular adjustment issues depending on their life and combat histories. Some also have service-related chronic health issues from vaccines, Gulf War Syndrome, DU, etc.

New Nov 2009 - CRYPTOPORTICUS PRODUCTIONS, a transmedia venture, dedicated to revealing such underground connections among the control mechanisms of modern society. The cryptoporticus is also a vault in which are stored the secrets of cultural continuity - a failsafe for human survival technology. In ancient Roman architecture, a "cryptoporticus" was a labyrinthine underground passage connecting all aspects of cultural life. Only partially at groundlevel, it supports a vast concealed architecture that communicates in secret among its numerous different centers. It is a matrix of nexus points. Many examples are found across Europe, but similar tunnels exist throughout Washington D.C. Literally, carved in stone, such large underground passageways are analogous to today's underground bases, SAC, hardened survival bunkers, book depositories, archives, seed vaults, etc. The labyrinthine convolutions of today's challenges mean we need to learn how to make our way through this tangled maze to "the Light at the end of the tunnel." These holographic or virtual tunnels can be 'mined' for their informational value, helping us choose which way to go.

COLLECTIVE PSYCHE is a meta-theory of mankind and the primordial field of consciousness/matter, first proposed by Jung. We have no control over the collective psyche, the dynamic totality of all conscious and unconscious psychic processes, a self-organizing process with its own structure and flow. Global sociopolitical life mirrors this condition (including deeply ingrained conflict, the will to live and depression). Systemic global problems are mirrored in each of us. So are collective delusions. But our collective hearts are increasingly crying out for something beyond that myopia. Syndex I & II are about the spiritual and universal beauty of numbers. They reflect the order and beauty of nature, but also of psyche. According to Jung, number unifies the physical and psychic (as in "realm of the psyche", not fortunetelling) worlds through synchronicity. Jung's basic ideas about the unity of knowledge and existence are in principle synonymous with the Platonic tradition, alchemy, Qabala and Gnosticism. Plato treated the end product of the evolution of mathematical concepts, (a fixed system of idealized objects), as an independent beginning point of the evolution of the "world of things." “Manifest Destiny Manifesto” by Iona Miller. We can create an evolutionary politics to build a more creative future. Calculated cycles of commodification and scarcity, business and war have driven the military/industrial complex and the multinational corporate climate. Cover Ups and confusion have paralyzed us into apathy where nothing significant can be trusted, believed or known. But we can empower ourselves to resist status quo politics and shape ourselves a better destiny - a 21st century Manifest Destiny that fulfills our positive spiritual potential. If we don't want a dark future for humanity, we must reinvent ourselves and our culture from the foundation upwards, one inspired person at a time to large-scale societal transformation that heals personal and global socioeconomical scars.
A controversial writer, Tom Lyttle lived in the Bermuda Triangle and in a sort of Bermuda Triangle of the spotless mind. What's New (March ‘05): Iona has many new online additions to her webpresence since updating her glutted Collected Works site in 2002. They include new writing, art work, interviews, and collaborations. She is also blogging at tribe.net an invitational underground network for discussing a wide variety of scientific, artistic, mystical and other free-wheeling ideas and lifestyles.
Recent trips include the eastern coast of Australia for NexusMagazine and Science-Art events, Phoenix, Scottsdale and LA for an art tour, Seattle/Canadian border for publishing meetings and R & R. Current projects include an article with Ben Lonetree on ELF phenomena in Sedona Vortex area for Nexus (Vol 12, No. 2 Feb/Mar int’l, Mar/Apr USA) and production of hypnotic ‘Stress Relief’ and ‘Confirmed Nonsmoker’ CDs which are now available from her; and new Fauxtos.

After showing Iona’s psychotronic art, we went to the Science-Art Research Centre in the shadow of Mt. Warning where she was appointed Consultant in Science-Art Theory. She hopes to establish a platform for American Science-Art Research. Her painting, 'The Diamond Body' appears in master painter Robert Pope's latest international sci-art book, which just sold out its first edition. An international art show, endorsed by the head scientist of the British Royal Society and Yangzhou University, China, among others is in the works. Scientists throughout the world working at the cutting edge of human survival technology are now seeking a multidisciplinary solution to the social, economic and environmental crises threatening us all. End of October 2004 - November found Iona on art tour with the “Gartel Cartel” in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Tucson with digital fine art godfather Laurence Gartel and former South Park animator Bob Judd. Halloween kept right on going when Io and Judd flew to LA on s-Election Day to see Psychic TV3 in concert at The Knitting Factory in Hollywood and say hello backstage to Genesis, after a 10 year hiatus. Djinny was GORGE, with the new look settling in. PTV3 rocked; the club kids were fab.

We stayed with Don Bolles, Darcey Leonard and DJ Prickle who were busy converting the Parlour Club into Club Screwball for Gen’s afterparty. Bolles, of The Germs and 45 Grave started the LA punk scene, much like Joey Ramone on the Right Coast. He has also played with PTV in the past. Bob got us ready for this mindwarp adventure with a sparkling purple 8 foot tarantula he had in his living room. As he gave away Deception Dollars all over his lawn to Trick or Treaters on Halloween they were treated to Poky the parrot singing along with Diamanda Galas and the Litanies of Satan, while ‘Cardinal Sin’ filmed Io for future shenanigans. Bob’s “terror house” was an artistic success with anti-Bush placards filling the picture window.
The New Year began with a trip to Semiahmoo resorts at the Canadian border for publishing meetings and R&R with family/friends. Winter is also the time to produce new works, and Io produced 5 invitational suites of Faux-tos in December and 15 new portals in February. She has a new article appearing in Vol. 12, No. 2 Nexus with Ben Lonetree on ELF and Sedona Vortices.

Iona is also doing Qabalistic collaborations with magical and perfumery mentor Lady Sarah Cunningham-Carter. They are looking at putting the flesh on the bones of many of Lady Sarah’s fine original research works, which come from her long associations with such notables in the field as Ann Davies, Hans Holzer, and Dr. Israel Regardie. Lady Sarah had a magical temple in Hollywood and Pasadena in the ‘50s and ‘60s and continues her fantastic artwork in the beautiful hills of Southern Oregon. She became personal secretary at 18 to Peruvian diva songstress and classic filmstar, Yma Sumac.
